The only reason I need to play PC games....a mouse.
I HATE playing FPS's with a controller. It's a complete joke IMO. The games rely on huge amounts of aim assist and even then it's not accurate enough. I used to play FPS's on consoles and was considered pretty good. I've since played FPS's with a mouse and I can't go back. It's not even close how much more accurate you can get with the aiming and speed. With a mouse I can kill people so ...
You're about as ignorant as they come.
Please tell me what in that footage couldn't be accomplished with an add-on or map pack? All it was was new maps, guns, and perks.
No innovation or creativity over previous iterations.
Yup, let's make a peripheral for the struggling Move that less than 1% of the Move population will even be able to buy, let alone want to purchase. The line has nothing to do with Move.
@jeseth
Too bad Infinity Ward isn't Infinity Ward anymore. It only has the name. The best of the devs jumped ship with West and Zamp. a long time ago.
I hope they take the success from WoT and hire some better developers because they are not listening to a lot of the community's demands. WoT is a good game that could be great if they would just change a few things that drive many people crazy.
WoP looks very promising as does WoB. They are games that I'm sure not many even know about that will be solid performers.
The more I hear about this game, the less I want it.
Where do you find that "My Soldier" link? I don't even know where to go to find what level I am.
Totally agree and have been saying the same thing. I always get blasted for it too. I have yet to see anything innovative about this game besides the graphics. And please don't interpret this as me being a COD fanboy. I'm done with COD for the exact same reason. Lack of innovation. In fact, DICE took one of their innovative features from previous BF games out of BF3. No more commander. Thanks DICE.
I know people that have said if they don't put it on Steam, they aren't buying it. Stupid, stupid move EA.
How about puzzles that are a little harder? I was disappointed with Portal 2. Portal 1 is one of my favorite games and I was expecting so much from this one but was let down slightly. I think they catered to the largest group and made it just hard enough for them but didn't really include harder challenges for those that can do a little more. I'm seriously not trying to brag here. My friend that I played this with and my brother both thought it was too easy too. Too short too. ...
Sorry, I'm done with COD. I look for a series to evolve. COD hasn't done that really since COD4. That's basically what I'm talking about here with BF3. I wanted the series to evolve, and so far, I'm not seeing anything really new other than more destruction.
Trust me, I want this game to be good. If only for the satisfaction of making Activision shut their mouths.
I should have said BC2 with MORE vehicles. If you have played ANY of the previous BF games, you'd know the BC series does not have the number of vehicles BF does. Along with the tanks, jeeps, and choppers, BF had jets and the sheer number of vehicles was way more than what is in BC2. It's not the same.
I was a huge fan of the previous BF games. This game doesn't even have the Commander feature. That feature made it stand out from the other games. Red Orchestr...
This review sounds exactly like what I've been fearing with this game. It sounds like it's just going to be BC2 with vehicles. I didn't even like BC2 that much. If it's anywhere near BC2, I'm not buying it.
I just hope it's its own game and it MUCH better than BC2.
It's coming. Valve just made the Source engine SDK free so that pretty much tells you they have been working on a new engine (Source 2?). What better way to showcase the new engine than with HL3? I think we'll get some new info within the next year or so.
These are some of the companies Lulzsec should have been messing with.
There's no way to vote with your wallets for a lot of people. In a lot of places, you only have ONE ISP to choose from. In my area, ATT is the only ISP. I can't just not use the internet anymore. I have to have a connection and there's no way in hell I'm going back to dial-up.
A lot of these companies have monopolies on certain areas and they know it.
I'm sorry, I don't get it. Like the title says, it's a gimmick. I'd rather use my controller to change all the parts.
The one good thing I've seen so far is the use of voice control. That could come in handy during actual play. But the movements for gun customization, IMO, will get old rather quickly and people will probably just go back to using their controllers.
@MOTY
That's what the lens reflection is for. So people won't camp in the grass all game long.
Everyone seems to be focusing on the graphics. Games are more than graphics. From what I saw in those vids, the gameplay looked rather bland and boring. Nothing got my adrenalin going in the slightest, very repetitive, very linear.
I know the game is primarily for the MP but come on, if you honestly think this is great innovative gameplay for a SP experience, you're drinking the kool-aid a little too much.
I'm hoping this is just a few minutes of t...
